When the former Beaudesert Shire Council originally planned the "Bromelton" industrial estate it was in the suburb of "Bromelton" (as can be seen by the adjacent map).  When the State Government called this State Development Area "Bromelton", many people thought it covered the same area that the Council has been proposing for the past 20 years - IT DOESN'T.  The State Development Area Proposed by the State Government covers no less than 6 suburbs and is approximately 5 times larger than the original industrial estate development proposed by the former Beaudesert Shire Council.
